This expert-led session will guide physicians through evidence-based preconception and antenatal management of women with preexisting type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Dr. Sunil Gupta will outline practical algorithms for preconception counseling, including glycemic targets (A1C <6.5%), medication safety, folic acid dosing, and screening for retinopathy, nephropathy, and thyroid disease before conception. The talk will address trimester-wise glucose goals, insulin and CGM optimization, prevention of preeclampsia, and management of common complications such as hypoglycemia and DKA.

Emphasis will be placed on translating RSSDI, ADA, and Endocrine Society recommendations into real-world clinical workflows to reduce congenital anomalies, preterm birth, and maternal morbidity.
