The traditional medicines used to treat type 2 diabetes usually lose efficacy over time, resulting in insufficient glycemic control and side consequences. As a result, there is a need for alternative therapies that can overcome the limits of traditional anti-diabetic medicines. Gliptins, which have become a focus of significant research, present an alternative therapy method for people with type 2 diabetes. Gliptins improve glycemic control significantly and are well tolerated, particularly in terms of weight change and hypoglycemia. In this session, the panel will critically evaluate the efficacy, safety, and practical applications of Gliptins in contemporary diabetes care, offering insights to clarify their role in clinical practice.
