The internal temperature range must be maintained for the body to function normally. Dyslipidemia is the main contributor of Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Diseases (ASCVD). Majority of Indians have one lipid abnormality. In India 50% of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) associated deaths occur before the age of 50 years. Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) occur in 25% of Indians before the age of 40 years. With many effective, safe and inexpensive lipid-lowering drugs, it’s important to identify and start treating dyslipidemia as early as possible. Earlier Death was defined as “Complete & Irreversible cessation of spontaneous Cardiac and Respiratory functions. American Academy of Neurology in 1995, first time defined Brain Death as “Irreversible cessation of function of the Brain, including the brainstem.” Declaration of Death by Brain Stem Death criteria has been given a legal recognition in India only in context of Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act, 1994 (THOTA). It is very important to understand the difference between severe Brain Damage and Brain Death. Brain death means life support cannot bring back meaningful life. Brain Death is the principal requisite for Organ donations for transplantation. Due to paucity of availability of organs, there is a long wait list for organs by needy patients in India. It is an offshoot of XBB, first detected in October, which is itself a recombinant of two other Omicron subvariants. Hemoptysis is spitting or expectoration of blood that originates below the vocal cords. It is essential to be able to differentiate it from pseudo hemoptysis & hematemesis. The most common causes are TB, Pneumonia, Ca - bronchus & bronchiectasis. A detailed history of necessary parameters including quantity, associated symptoms, drugs, h/o tobacco and occupational history along with physical and systemic examination can guide us in uncovering the cause for the hemoptysis. The routine investigations that are called for in this scenario are CBC, ESR, Sputum, X-ray chest, HRCT, Bleeding and coagulation profile and RFT. The priority in mild hemoptysis is to find the cause where as in the case of massive hemoptysis the priority is always to first stabilize the patient. Most acute diarrhea are due to infection or drug induced.
