HCG Boosts Pregnancy Outcomes in FET Cycles Pretreated with GnRH Agonist
9 Jun 2025 • A study of frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) cycles pretreated with gonadotrophin-releasing hormone agonist revealed that intramuscular human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) administration prior to endometrial transformation significantly improves reproductive outcomes.
Clinical pregnancy and embryo implantation rates were notably higher in the HCG group (58.5% vs. 49.3% and 53.0% vs. 42.2%, respectively). The benefit was greater in blastocyst transfers (63.7% vs. 52.8%).
HCG was an independent predictor of pregnancy (OR = 1.751), highlighting its potential to boost endometrial receptivity.
