Polycystic Ovarian Morphology Boosts IVF Success in Women with Endometriosis
30 May 2025 • A study conducted in India showed that women with advanced endometriosis and coexisting polycystic ovarian morphology (PCOM) achieve significantly higher cumulative live birth rates (52.3%) after assisted reproductive technology (ART). This was nearly double that of women with endometriosis alone (26.2%).
Women with both endometriosis and PCOM showed no difference in live birth odds compared to PCOM-only patients (aOR 1.17), likely due to higher oocyte yield.
These findings suggest that PCOM may enhance ART outcomes in endometriosis patients, offering new hope for fertility treatment in this group.
