ACG Unveils Guidelines for Diagnosing & Managing Gastric Premalignant Conditions
21 Mar 2025 • The American College of Gastroenterology has issued its first clinical practice guidelines on the diagnosis and management of gastric premalignant conditions (GPMC), including atrophic gastritis, gastric intestinal metaplasia, dysplasia, and certain gastric epithelial polyps.
The guidelines recommend surveillance endoscopy every three years for high-risk individuals, endoscopic management of dysplasia, Helicobacter pylori eradication, treatment of autoimmune gastritis and gastric epithelial polyps.
