Freeze-All Embryo Transfer Boosts IVF Success in Endometriosis, Not Adenomyosis
16 May 2025 • A recent meta-analysis comparing freeze-all embryo transfer (FET) and fresh embryo transfer (ET) in IVF/ICSI cycles found that women with endometriosis achieved significantly better outcomes with FET.
Clinical pregnancy (OR 1.25), live birth (OR 1.31), and implantation rates (OR 1.27) were all higher with FET, while miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy risks remained similar.
In contrast, women with adenomyosis showed no difference between FET and ET strategies.
The findings suggest FET offers an advantage in endometriosis but may influence fertility outcomes in adenomyosis.
