Elevated ECV Flags Higher MACE Risk in True MINOCA: CMR Study Reveals Prognostic Clue
20 Jun 2025 • A new study highlights extracellular volume (ECV) from cardiac MRI as a key prognostic marker in MINOCA.
Key Findings:
- Patients with “true” MINOCA had higher ECV (29.10%) than those with other etiologies (26.00%), and nearly 30% experienced major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) over 26.6 months.
- ECV >28.94% significantly increased MACE risk (HR 1.063).
These findings spotlight ECV as a valuable biomarker for identifying high-risk MINOCA patients and refining prognosis.
